Outsourced Bookkeeping from the Philippines

We are a tax and accounting firm in Cebu. Our Philippine CPAs maintain the books, reconciliations and compliance worksheets of small businesses in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom — working inside your existing Xero file, to your accountant’s instructions. The professional who reviews, signs and lodges your returns stays exactly where they are.

In short

  • Qualified Philippine CPAs — not general virtual assistants or data-entry staff.
  • We work inside your existing file. No migration, no new software to learn.
  • Your registered agent keeps lodgement and sign-off. We prepare the work behind it.
  • An agreed monthly scope, not a per-seat staffing contract with a minimum headcount.
  • Team across the Philippines and Europe, so there is real overlap with your working day.

How it works

  1. Scoping call. We look at your current file, your volumes and what your accountant already handles, and write down who does what.
  2. Access, not migration. You invite us into your existing Xero (or QuickBooks, or MYOB) file with the permissions you choose. Nothing moves.
  3. A monthly rhythm. Transactions are coded and reconciled to a fixed schedule, and queries come to you as one consolidated list — not a stream of messages.
  4. Handover to your agent. At each quarter or period end, the reconciled worksheet and supporting schedules go to your registered agent for review and lodgement.

Why a tax firm, rather than a staffing agency

Most Philippines outsourcing companies rent you a seat. You interview a candidate, they sit in a shared office, and you manage them day to day. That works when you have the capacity to train and supervise someone offshore.

We work the other way round: you agree a scope with us, and a qualified team delivers it. Our own practice is Philippine corporate tax and accounting — BIR and PEZA compliance, withholding tax, transfer pricing and cross-border treaty work for foreign subsidiaries operating here. The same people who handle that work review your file.

Where we work

  • Australia — books and BAS worksheets prepared for your registered BAS or tax agent.
  • New Zealand — Xero-based bookkeeping and GST preparation, filed by your tax agent through IRD.
  • United Kingdom — MTD-ready records and VAT return preparation for your HMRC-authorised accountant.

What it costs

A fixed monthly fee in your own currency, set by the volume of transactions on your file. No seat minimums, no headcount commitments, and no hourly meter running while you ask a question.

Quoted properly once we have seen your file. Catch-up work on a backlog is priced separately, and your accountant’s fees for lodgement, statutory accounts and tax advice sit outside this.

Common questions

Are you an accounting firm or a staffing agency?

An accounting firm. Camellia Consulting Inc. is a tax and accounting practice registered with the Philippine SEC, with a Japanese parent company in Tokyo. You engage us for a scope of work, not for headcount.

Who actually does the work on our file?

A named team, led by a Philippine Certified Public Accountant, with a reviewer above them. You meet the people who will handle your file before you commit, and the same team stays with you.

Do we have to change accounting software?

No. We work inside the file you already use — Xero, QuickBooks or MYOB. You control the access permissions and can change or withdraw them at any time.

Who files our returns?

Your own registered agent does. In Australia that is your BAS or tax agent registered with the Tax Practitioners Board; in the UK, your HMRC-authorised accountant; in New Zealand, your tax agent linked through IRD. We prepare and reconcile what they review, and we do not lodge on your behalf.

How is our data handled?

Your records stay in your own accounting software. Access is limited to the team assigned to your file, under confidentiality agreements, and you can withdraw it at any time.

What size of business is this for?

Small and medium-sized businesses — typically somewhere between 50 and 700 transactions a month. There is no minimum headcount and no seat commitment, so a business with one director and a bookkeeping backlog is as welcome as one with thirty staff.
